Portland Timbers vs. Philadelphia Union - 10/09/11 [Week 25 - Highlights]

Portland Timbers vs. Philadelphia Union - 10/09/11 [Week 25 - Highlights] Video Clips. Duration : 4.40 Mins.

CHESTER, Pa. -- Three days after PPL Park hosted a wildly entertaining game with eight combined goals, the Philadelphia Union and Portland Timbers played to a more uneventful 0-0 draw at Philly's home stadium in front of a sellout crowd of 18504. In the 88th minute, the Union had perhaps the best chance of the night to break the scoreless deadlock, but Kyle Nakazawa's one-timer off a Justin Mapp cross pegged off the crossbar. The third-place Union, which tied New England 4-4 on Wednesday, have now earned two straight ties at PPL Park but still have not won since July 17. With the result, they move to 8-7-12 overall, and with 36 points sneak one point ahead of Houston in the Eastern Conference. Their best scoring opportunity came in the 28th minute when Le Toux dropped a little chip from Torres to his foot and fired a shot just wide. Portland was also held scoreless in the first half, due in large part to the ...

Philadelphia Police Corruption - 2011 Tube. Duration : 3.47 Mins.

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- There is a sweeping grand jury investigation into allegations of corruption in the Philadelphia police department and city government. FBI agents spread out across Philadelphia and southern New Jersey earlier this week executing search warrants and serving subpoenas. At least two ranking members of the Philadelphia police department and two city officials may be caught up in the investigation at this point, but the FBI has cast a wide net that could bring down others tied to these allegations of corruption. The FBI agents fanned out Tuesday delivering subpoenas and executing search warrants at local gentleman's clubs and towing companies. They visited two strip clubs in Southwest Philadelphia looking for information on whether they did business with a South Philadelphia beer distributorship, Chappy's Beer. The beer distributorship is owned in part by a high-ranking Philadelphia Licenses and Inspection department official and a disbarred attorney, Gregory Quigley. Quigley was convicted in the recent Delaware County nostra organized crime gambling investigation. Quigley also has ties to mob associate "Bent Finger" Lou Monticello. Monticello plead guilty to conspiracy charges in the state organized crime case with Quigley. FBI agents also seized records on inspections at the strip clubs by Licenses and Inspection, as well as parking violations and traffic citations. FBI agents also visited the police department on Tuesday seizing the laptop computers ...
